【摘要】:Thispracticeisdesignedtoevaluate,inanunstressedstate,thechemicalresistanceofthermosettingresinsusedinthefabricationofreinforcedthermosettingplastic(RTP)laminates.Thispracticeprovidesforthedeterminationofchangesintheproperties,describedasfollows,ofthetestspecimensandtestreagentafterexposureofthespecimenstothereagent:hardnessofspecimens,weightchangethickness,appearanceofspecimens,appearanceofimmersionmedia,andflexuralstrengthandmodulus.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesaregivenforinformationonly.Note1-Thispracticemayalsobeusedtoevaluateotherfactors,suchassurfacingveils,theeffectofresinadditives,andfabricationvariablesonthechemicalresistanceoftheresin.Note2-ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
